To my kenyan friend

Hello Maria,

Thanks for the wonderful messages that are natural and with inspiration,i am also inviting you as a writer to be my friend. am in Africa the country of my birth is kenya. We were a very peaceful country since we attained our independence from the british back in 1963, but towards the election of 2007 all hell broke loose we turned agaist brother and sisters,we diviated from the values that keep us as a nation and killed each other just because of elections.party issues and also to see which tribe is powerful.

Our leaders come to an agreement and formed a coalition and a grand coalition gorvement was formed.Today maria we have destroyed our only water tower that feeds the entire east Africa population with water and destroyed it,people who have encroached this water tower are rich and do not want to move from it,they are instead telling the masses not to move and making it look political. Our president and prime minister are committed to making mau forest restored to its place but there are forces who have interest in mau who make this very enviromental disaster hard to deal with.

Maria please use your pen to help us in kenya save this very forest that means life to millons of humans in east and central Africa.
Ekutan

My dear friend Ekutan,
Grace and peace!
Thanks for the contact. I'm sorry for the situation in your country. I know that the lack of food and water leads to violent clashes between his people. It's all very sad. I wish I had the power to help them!
Unfortunately, I can do is just publish texts about the crisis that hit the Kenya, to my friends.
I ask God to give them strength to overcome the crisis.
May God make fall a shower of blessings on his people. Urgent!
I leave you a video of an african that I like: Ismael Lö.
Hugs from Brasil
Maria

Drought cause conflicts and deaths in Kenya

Lack of food and water leads to violent clashes between inhabitants; at least 24 elephants died.

Nairobi-one of the worst droughts in recent decades is causing serious problems for communities and animals of Northern Kenya. At least 32 people died in conflicts by water and land within the week, and local leaders say that there will be more violence.

In the Samburu district, at least 24 elephants have died of hunger or the shots were killed by hunters in search of food. "The situation is terrible, certainly is the worst of the 12 years that I'm here. If it's not raining in October and November, the crisis will be total. I can't not imagine the consequences, "says Ian Douglas Hamilton, organization of Defense save the Elephants elephants.

David Daballen, also save the Elephants, says that normally the animals are killed for who leave ivory tusks, but in carcasses found recently, feet and donkey have also been cut to be used as food.

Many bulls and cows are dying of thirst and hunger, which can become a disaster in communities that depend on cattle to survive. The information is from the BBC - 21/09/2009.
